Inside Geopolitics tracks the relationships, alliances, and flashpoints that shape world affairs — an interactive globe for exploring countries, their leaders, military posture, and voting alignment, paired with a running timeline of developments as they happen.
Built as an open, data-driven reference rather than a traditional news feed: every country on the globe carries structured data — population, GDP, allies and adversaries, trade partners, alliance memberships, nuclear status, and UN voting record — sourced from public datasets including World Bank Open Data and updated as the underlying data changes.
Nikita Chirkov

The globe, the structured country data, and the constantly refreshing timeline are all built to update themselves — the editorial judgment behind what makes it onto the page isn't. Inside Geopolitics is founded and run by Nikita Chirkov, a working journalist, not an automated aggregator with a byline stapled on.
Chirkov is a Russian-born American journalist and strategic communications expert. His reporting and commentary have appeared in The Hill, the Washington Examiner, Fox News, RealClearDefense, and MSN, among other outlets, and he has appeared on air on the BBC, Fox News, and Newsmax. He is also a Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA).
He founded Inside Geopolitics in 2022 as a social-first outlet for global affairs. As editor-in-chief, he has grown it to more than 500,000 subscribers across social platforms, drawing millions of views a month.
Outside the newsroom, Chirkov advises political campaigns, think tanks, and advocacy organizations on strategic communications, and has contributed to opinion pieces bylined by President Donald Trump and members of his campaign's advisory board. He currently serves as Senior Director of Digital Operations at ProActive Strategies.
